The most common knee injuries in runners may include Runners Knee, Patellar Tendonitis (Tendinopathy), Kneecap Bursitis, Kneecap Subluxation, Medial Meniscus Tear, and Knee Stress Fracture. Tendons and ligaments attach the kneecap to thigh muscles or shin bones. Any malfunctioning in these components can cause Runners’ Knee. Patellar Tendonitis is an overuse injury due to repeated stress on your patellar tendon. Frequent and sustained pressure on the knee can cause Kneecap Bursitis.
